My Personal Journey

Welcome to The Rebirth Group! Before sharing my firm's vision, I want to share my story and how personal transformation shaped my life and career.

My name is Ada Mbogu (pronounced Ah-Duh Mhm-bog-goo), and I am a survivor. My story is filled with valleys and peaks that exemplify my transformation. I am a child of Nigerian Immigrants who were taught to survive instead of thriving and embracing their vulnerability. I am a daughter navigating this life without her mother's guidance. I am a best friend who yearns for her best friend's support since she was taken away during a global pandemic. I am a phoenix rising from the ashes, forging a new life, and stepping into my purpose. I have embraced my life path stained with grief and trauma and have accepted that my breakthrough is part of my story of healing, personal growth, and becoming my true self.

We all go through obstacles that make it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But we all have the power to change our lives for the better when we build our self-awareness and emotional intelligence and embrace whatever challenges stand in our way.

My Personal Journey

We all go through obstacles that make it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But we all have the power to change our lives for the better when we build our self-awareness and emotional intelligence and embrace whatever challenges stand in our way. On the other side of change comes growth, strength, power, and healing. I am a living embodiment of what can happen when you ride the wave of change, sit in discomfort, heal from past traumas, learn from your experiences, and forge a new path forward.

I’m in the third phase of my life now. In my twenties, I lost my mother to uterine cancer, which rocked my world and left me vulnerable. Similarly, I lost my childhood best friend during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning to navigate womanhood without my two anchors to show me the ropes and provide emotional support was challenging, but I survived and created a new life through the ashes. In addition to navigating my grief, I also spent a lot of time building my healthcare career, which took me to new heights, including moving from my hometown in New York to Los Angeles. Although I appreciate the skills I established within my healthcare career, my passion for this career choice began to diminish as time progressed. As a result, I decided to make a career change into a Workforce Psychologist and Executive Coach. My goal involves leveraging human behavior to create more inclusive and agile cultures, develop high-performing talent, and embrace technology to aid transformation and innovation.

I created The Rebirth Group to assist and coach individuals and organizations in unpacking undefined traumas and resistance to change into new opportunities for growth and impact. Our professional and personal lives are intertwined, and how we show up at work is rooted in how we show up for our authentic selves at home. The journey to creating the firm has been long and fulfilling thus far. I aim to use my voice to bring awareness and share insights into the Future of Work, the Future of DEI, the AI Revolution, and Personal Leadership. I want to use my platform to share my vulnerability in what I have endured in the workforce while navigating my grief and how I have overcome adversity to build my self-confidence and resilience.

For those who are reading this, thank you so much for your support, and I hope my words resonate with you. Life is not about reaching the destination but embracing the journey to becoming your best self.
